Tunes played in April, 2014
The meeting room at Northgate is pretty nice! Smaller than the one at Lake City, but plenty big for us, I think. We had a good turnout this month, pretty equally split between fiddles, banjos and guitars (and one fiddler occasionally switching to uke).
Tunes played were:
- Grey Eagle (A)
- Cripple Creek (A)
- Boil Them Cabbage Down (A)
- Old Joe Clark (A)
- The Boatman’s Dance (A)
- Goodbye Liza Jane (A)
- Cluck Old Hen (A modal)
- Kitchen Girl (A modal)
- Elzic’s Farewell (A modal)
- Cold Frosty Morning (A modal)
- Old Jack Gillie (D)
- Wind That Shakes the Barley (D)
- Spotted Pony (D)
Next month there’s no jam at a library meeting room, but we’ll be hosting a series of slow jams at NW Folklife, a different key/tuning each day. We should have tune lists for what we intend to play each day up on the site by the time they publish the time schedule on May 2nd. Keep an eye on the front page for a link.
