Tunes played in December, 2015
We had a huge turnout today — I think I counted 17 folks at one point. Thanks to everyone who braved the holiday shopping traffic to come out, and thanks to everyone who was new! I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to welcome you all individually. If you lost a violin practice mute today, drop me a line; I found one as I was closing up. Here’s what we played:
- Boil the Cabbage Down (A)
- Cripple Creek (A)
- Bill Cheatam (A)
- Cluck Old Hen (A modal)
- Cold Frosty Morning (A modal)
- Shady Grove (A modal)
- Red-Haired Boy (A mix)
- Sandy Boys (A mix)
- Angeline the Baker (D)
- Petronella (D)
- Soldier’s Joy (D)
- Needle Case (D)
- Over the Waterfall (D)
- Liberty (D)
- Spotted Pony (D)
- St. Anne’s Reel (D)
- Whiskey Before Breakfast (D)
Reminder: there’s no jam in January, as I’ll be heading to the Bellingham Folk Festival on the weekend of the 23rd and the Portland Old-Time Music Gathering on the weekend of the 16th. Happy holidays, and I hope to see you in the new year!
